Landscape Containers that Address the Sculptural Spirit of Contemporary Architecture

(Phoenix, Arizona) — “Dramatic, elegant and sculptural,” are adjectives frequently used to describe the Dune Series Landscape Containers, Kornegay Design’s most recent addition to their line of cast concrete site furnishings. Artist and designer Larry Kornegay attributes the undulating, rhythmic imagery crated by desert sand dunes as the inspiration for the graceful contour of the container and for the rim’s subtle wind-swept form. The tranquil simplicity of the Dune Series provides a point of synergy with the sculptural qualities of contemporary architecture.

The Dune Series demonstrates Larry Kornegay’s mastery of using cast concrete as a sculptural media. The wide rim of the Dune Series showcases the fine quality of Kornegay Design’s cast concrete surfaces, the result of a manufacturing method in which only enough concrete used to fill each mold is mixed and the molds are filled and tended by hand. A production process that requires less water and minimizes waste.

With the addition of the Dune Series, Kornegay Design now offers six distinctive styles of cast concrete landscape containers. All products are available in a wide range of integrally colored concrete.
