Kornegay Design‘s Dune Series Honored by Architectural Record

(Phoenix, Arizona)— “Elegant and different” is how Architectural Record juror Morley Bland describes the dramatic Dune Series landscape containers, Kornegay Design’s most recent addition to their line of cast concrete site furnishings. The Dune Series received recognition as one of Architectural Record’s Noteworthy Products of the Year for 2004. Artist and designer, Larry Kornegay attributes the undulating rhythmic imagery created by sand dunes as the inspiration for the graceful contour of the container and for the rim’s subtle windswept form. The tranquil simplicity of the Dune Series landscape containers provide a point of synergy with the sculptural qualities of contemporary architecture.

Architectural Record is the magazine of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), with world-wide circulation, it is one the most prestigious magazines of the design industry. The purpose of their “Product Reports”, published annually in the December issue, is to identify and feature new products “that are useful, timeless, and address a problem in a new way.”

Kornegay Design is proud to have their work honored and recognized by such a prominent publication.
