A longtime favorite in the Kornegay portfolio, the Mex Bold Series of concrete landscape containers offers strong form in a classical design. The unsurpassed level of craftsmanship inherent in all of Larry Kornegay’s designs is showcased once again with this series. Mex Bold’s unyielding yet luxurious surface displays the unique tactile properties of concrete, while a striking relay of crisp edges and sharp angles cover the planters’ exteriors.

Capturing A Moment and a Place in Time

“Traveling around Michoacán, Mexico, I was taken aback by the boldness of the architecture—especially the domed church roofs often from which sprouted a small cross,” describes Larry Kornegay. “Mex Bold is kind of like an upside-down version of this architectural motif. The planter is the inverted dome and the plant is the steeple.”

Mex Bold Product Details

Mex Bold are round, architectural landscape containers with a vertical ribbed face pattern available in two sizes: 18” or 30” tall both with a 40” diameter. The planters ship with the standard 2-⅜” diameter drainage hole, or custom hole to function with irrigation & drainage plumbing. The Mex Bold Series is available in 9 standard colors, with additional color mixing available, and can be finished in a bituminous sealer (suggested for interior applications) or sandblast finish.
